Types of Grants
Arch Community Fund makes three types of grants: transformative organizing grants have an open application process; discretionary and Leslie Preston Healing Justice grants are at trustee discretion.
Transformative Organizing
Transformative Organizing Grants support transformative organizing for systemic change with explicit articulation of the following values: resistance; community leadership; transformative, anti-capitalist solutions and intersectionality.
Discretionary
Discretionary grants are made by the trustees of Arch Community Fund. Discretionary grantees fit the vision and values of Arch and are urgent but are not a fit for Transformative Organizing awards.
Leslie Preston Healing Justice
Leslie Preston Healing Justice Grants are in honor of Arch Community Fund co-founder Leslie Preston, who died in 2018 at age 51 from cancer. These grants honor her spirit of care for community organizers.
